Saturday

We had such a blast at the pool! (AFTER Brent went potty in the toilet, good boy!)
We swam, jumped, dived - etc so on and so forth.
After which daddy took off to go make some money, and we took a luxurious nap. I was PLANNING to let the kids take the luxurious nap, but Loggy did the whole 'if you move, i'll wake up and scream' routine, so I got suckered into it.

Good thing too. Even tho I'm tired a bit now, I'll be top notch tomorrow in time for church.

After the nap time we took off to walk the beasties. And later after coming home we got to go blow couple of fireworks that daddy bought earlier in the day.

Macy came with us and there was much fun to be had, sparklers and everything. I took a video

and several pictures:

Friday

You know funny thing about Friday the 13th is how many people are truly superstitious.
Even I, the one that doesn't REALLY believe in that stuff, prayed to God with passion that Logan comes out on his own BEFORE my doc has to induce me.
And doc of course scheduled to induce me on the 13th. Loggy, being a stubborn monkey, held out til 11th.
Ah
Got to love my spirited children, you guys are a blast from birth til my life's end.

However a very cool thing happened today - Logan was able to crawl rather awesomely earlier (chasing  a toy of Brent's), we picked up grandpa from the airport - who told us he's very engaged to an awesome lady, and one of the bloggers I follow posted something cool about his experience with God and writing.

Which incidentally has been my problem. I seem to have a hard time writing else but facts. Speaking of which, it's one of the main reasons I started these blogs, so I can write, facts and leave something fun for my kids to read in the future.

That way when they're about 10 years  old and read up on  this, they can exclaim with fervor: "Mother, were you INSANE???? did you KNOW those things were dangerous?!" or the likes, knowing boys tho - most likely i'll just get a "cool!" and that's it hehe.

I also practically cleaned the whole house. Brent helped - because he's awesome. And your room is the last to be finished buddy. Tomorrow we tackle it!
So we can  re-set up your bed and all that, and everything is dandy.

We also managed to fit a swim in the  pool somehow, however Brent, DEAREST, you're still doing poorly on the whole potty training bit. I've been laying off awesomely, and I know it's around the corner. Therefore I'm not worried, or naggy (much) - we'll see how it pans out :)

That's bout all for the day however. God is Great, my kids are sweet and my husband is sexy :)
my dogs are quite awesome  as well heheh.

Thursday

It's fascinating - how little children are so quick to do things we don't want them to, when we (parents) turn away just for a second (okay not a second, but it WAS less than a minute) (And we were in the same room).

Brent buzzed a piece of his hair off. All we heard was buzzing of the trimmer and seconds later "Mommy! look my hair fell!"
my baby's hair! how long we waited to grow it out so we could give him a decent hair cut - now it's like boo.
Neighbor suggested to cut it all off and I was far against it - lol while the shape of his head IS marvelous - going around shaved makes him look way different. And I don't really think it makes him look much cuter.
So tomorrow we have to go and take him to the hair stylists. See if we can have it fixed.
He DID need a hair cut.

Oy.

Wednesday

Logan is sure getting better at moving around. He can crawl around the bed with the best of them. I don’t think he’s got direction down quite yet – so he ends up in places he wants to go only after a couple tries.
But he’s still doing awesome. Pretty soon we’re going to start him on solids. For now we give him tastes of what’s to come – and he’s Excited! He also LOVES playing with toys. He’s always trying to figure things out on his own.
I think I’ll film his first experience of eating solids. I have to dig around and find pictures of Brent’s first eating experience. Awesome stuff.
Brent’s potty training is still iffy. I completely laid off of him however. Pushing him is equal to pushing a wall. Made of bricks. And mortared with re-bar and high quality cement. Covered in nails.
You get the point.
He is doing good tho. I give him a choice of wearing underwear or diaper – and he decides for himself. Funny enough whenever he chooses to wear a diaper – he will actively proceed to take it off and put on underwear or just run naked.
Logan is becoming pretty predictable in his cries as well. Like right now – he wants to have cuddle time with mama and toys. And he’s pretty upset about the whole mama not responding right away.

Monday

I generally forget what happened on Monday - short of Brent taking a very late nap!
And climbing a tree - which was fun. As always.
Duke and  Dezz tried to climb it - but weren't successful. Maybe next time dogs of action!

Sunday

We wanted to go pet some goats. Unfortunately, we missed the goats. Perhaps this next coming weekend we'll have some more luck.
On the flip side Brent got to  swim in a fountain,
Logan got to look awesome cute,
and I took half a decent picture with him.

Also daddy found guppies for Brent. Cause they  are awesome. We promptly let them go however.
Brent picked a duck he liked as well. I don't know - but he took distinct liking to the fella.
One tip I'm sure you'll never use is "never walk the park in high heels, it's a pain". At least I hope so.
We went there straight away after church, and church going shoes aren't exactly meant for hiking.
Speaking of church, Brent had a blast again. They gave us the program for the month, curriculum so to speak. He again found some favorite toys and was playing kitchen with the teacher.
Incidentally, the preacher spoke about conflict resolution. It was a tailor made sermon, just for me and daddy.  Because we JUST had a disagreement on the way in. I believe I cussed something fierce (unfortunately one of the teachers heard Oo) and that was sort of embarrassing. But oh well. No use crying over spilled words! (maybe an apology or so, but no tears :)

Saturdays Shmaturdays

We took grandpa for a walk. Daddy and Duke took a swim, daddy jumped off a cliff (couple of times) and Duke thought he should bring a gigantic piece of wood back to the shore (just for fun).

It was definitely fun - and from what I understand, it took him couple of days to recover. heheh
My plan is to make Brent hike that distance (sometime soon). Because he's tough and needs the exercise.

Full.

Good Lord,

Children.

I am full. Made some of these:

(dates + trail mix with M&M's + blender, with a splash of vanilla and pinch of salt, roll into balls, then cover with plain rice crispies, = awesome healthy crunchy thing)

Then we went to the park and played with some kids (Hey, Brent you're not the only not potty trained kiddo around woohoo!), got dropped off by Daddy all the way home - He had a job to do.
Then we played with toys good long time, then mama came up with an idea to make egg rolls.

So i ended up making these: http://pinterest.com/pin/63683782201286637/
They didn't look like those smooth awesome things that are so uniform you think a machine made them. But guess what - they were still very bomby.
And they smelled heavenly.

Tomorrow there should be a Citrus Heights parade - so Hopefully I'll get  you kids up in time to catch it down the street. I'm sure you'll love it.  We were Going to go swimming, but you and daddy got tired  out playing on that homespun swing. So tomorrow for sure :)

Beautiful walk

This beautiful smile with thumbs up was the aftermath of our quite wonderful hike where we found plenty of places to hike to, jump from into the water and possibly fish. Even have a bbq at.

Picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a couple:

 Nice bridge to jump off.
Here you can go down to the water and swim to the pretty island with a rope swing.
 Lunch?
Mini cliff that Brent and mama braved just the other day.

Some random people that with nice quotes would jump into the water off the stump. Her particular one was "You only live once!". Totally agree missy.

We found ton of baby praying mantises. There's one on Brent's finger!

Another rope swing that you can walk to. Also the ultimate spot for fire and rope swing jumping. Woohoo!
Doubt Brent will be using the rope, but I'm sure we'll just throw him in there. Heheheh

Wednesday cliff diving!

Okay,

I kicked myself enough. Where one SHOULD have a camera - I did. But when it came to using it - I totally spaced.  Man it was hot.
Poor Brent was completely uncomfortable until we got in the water.

Daddy jumped that same bridge, then we walked on to find a better spot. Got to a part of the beach where you could see the island in the middle. I was GOING to swim there but both Duke and certain Brent Brent made me bit nervous by trying to follow me out there. So I'll try again tomorrow.

After Daddy and Brent DID swim to the island (boy you have 0 reservations about anything) and back they brought tales  of filthy island where people tend to leave all their non-bio-degradable trash. Punks!
So they brought a couple of bags of recycling with them. We do our part - especially since it pays at your local recycling plant. You know?

There were also tales of a rope swing - which I doubt I'll be using since I doubt I can hold my big self up on a rope just yet - and I don't fancy breast feeding little Logan as a paraplegic. Oo

We walked yet further and found the most ADORABLE little hill. Off which we proceeded to jump into the water. Daddy went, Brent went and then mama went.
Poor Logan missed out on ton of water fun because I left his float at home (need to fix a hole in it).

It  was mass fun however. I was fancying jumping off the bridge again - but perhaps when we got grandpa with us to watch over the kiddos.

Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll take pictures of this place and we'll have plenty of videos and pics to fill in the blanks.

Lazy Tuesday, rollback

Well,

Tuesday was a bit boring. We went for a little play date with our neighbor girl. Went swimming in the pool and all that - Brent still getting his potty training down. Still not fast enough for me.. Daddy got few calls - so he was gone the whole day.

But at least I can post the cards Brent and I made for grandpa and daddy on Father's day.

Ingredients:

Construction paper. three pages - preferably different colors
Tissue paper
Cord (like bracelet making stuff)
glue
glitter
ribbon
paint
tape
pen!

First we put the pieces of paper and tissue together and cut the edges together - so that they are almost exactly the same size.

The Inside Piece:

We traced Brent's hand prints on one of the brightly colored pieces of paper and cut them out. In this case they were yellow, with marbling effect.
Then we took the piece of paper that was going to be on the inside and used paint to paste Logan's hand prints on that.
While the paint was still wet - we applied glitter.
We glued Brent's hand print cutouts to the outside of the paper, and let it dry.
Finished effect was a simple card with glued on hand prints - and painted hand prints on the inside.

After it all dried we put tissue paper around it.

The Outside Piece:
The outer piece of paper got decorated thus:
we wrote We <3 Daddy! with glue, and applied ample amount of glitter all different colors to make it look awesome.
Then we wrapped the ribbon all around the entire page (topmost) to give it a nice border.
We secured it with tape on the inside of the card, but also applied thin helping of glue all under it to make it stick in place. We only applied glue on the INSIDE of the card however - our ribbon has small wire running through it - so we left the outside glue-less as it keeps itself in shape.

We put the outside finished piece  around the tissue paper.

So now we had three layer card. We <3 Daddy visible on top of the card, inside left was blank, inside right was tissue paper, > flip the tissue page - there you can see Brent's hand cut  out pasted on the inside right, > flip the card page and you get to the middle of the card where Logan pasted one hand print (or two actually) on each page. If you flipped to the next page again - you'd see the other hand print cut out on left side, then tissue etc.

We used scissors on the spine of the card and cut out tiny little triangles all the way up the back, about inch or less apart. We weren't measuring.
Then we threaded it together and secured loose ends together in  an inconspicuous part of the card with tape.
Brent was able to help me thread grandpa's - but I put too many holes - so he got bored.

Tip: when making this - prepare a lot of this in advance, expect GIANT MESS with glitter, keep the holes on the back to a minimum (grandpa's got ten, daddy's got three LOL)

The  finished piece had a ton of Brent's stickers - for he helped decorate.
As you can see Grandpa got his ribbon as the spine cover, secured tightly with tape as glue didn't work!

 Daddy's card futures what would be page number 3 if you will, grandpa's - 4 & 5.

At any rate kids - you did great, thanks for all the help, it came out awesome. Brent added some awesomeness later by painting some stuff inside daddy's card, finally making it his piece of art. (You do so indiscriminately that I almost couldn't see my own writing!)

Everyone sure liked it tho.
Including you kids :)

Jumping off a bridge.

You know how your parents at least once during the course of your life ask you: "If OTHERS were jumping off a bridge - would you?".
I used to say NO... never. Me?
ha

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ACklLNm9Jk&feature=youtu.be

this is a video of my honey (your father, kids) jumping off a bridge.
I followed shortly and remember just panicking.
After a stern talking to (hubby to me) and my 3 year old looking all sad like, honey and I strapped Logan into the stroller, left Brent with strict instructions NOT to push the stroller Anywhere, and then went and jumped off together.

Sadly, we had to leave almost immediately as daddy had a lot of work to do. But hopefully we'll go back tomorrow and do some more jumping.

Brent honestly wanted to jump off (especially since he saw both of us do it), but yes, we're aware that it is dangerous. And even with a life jacket won't let him. Not for good 3-4 years (depending on his swimming skills).

Definitely will bring uncles and grandpa however. That will make for some excellent memories.

Father's day.

Our day started off right.

We got to church, late as usual. Dropped Brent off at the Sunday school - which he loves. And then sneaked  into the main part where we found granddad sitting by himself on his usual bench.
Joey didn't make it to the service. It was a bummer.
After listening to several long term parishioners describe their different points of view on Fatherhood (beginning stage, middle stage, empty nest stage and grand-fatherhood) I realized one GIANT thing in my own parenting as a mother.

I'm too damn impatient with Brent.

The little frustrations of the day - get to me and when he pulls a silly stunt like not listen to me I lose my cool. Doesn't mean I beat you severely kiddo. Just means I am much less amiable than my real self. (I can simply hear your uncles chuckle and say something about life long road rage, but I'm sure they were talking about some other mother of yours...)

Also lack of using 80/20 rule.

For instance: If I keep my comments to myself 80% of the time - Everyone listens and makes necessary changes that last 20%. It's true.

In other example - apparently if Microsoft fixes the top 20% of most reported bugs - 80% of other bugs resolve themselves. (They probably move to Mac).

So - more patience and less talky.

I also realized we spend WAY too much time watching tv with Brent.  Sure he knows almost as much as a first grader. But I won't stop Until he knows as much or MORE!

Because I come from a family of overachievers. Yes.

Much love to my kids for you both are awesome.

Palau Festival

We came, we saw, we took a picture.

Brent acted a butthead and kept running away (didn't feel right smacking your bottom in front of all those christian folks,  but I did it) and everyone got to meet for like a minute. Festival was a bit of a drag actually - the weather was incredibly hot. I'm still curious if anyone passed out or what.
Hopefully next time they come around it'll be cooler and Brent will be just a bit wiser. NO RUNNING AWAY IN PUBLIC PLACES DUDE.

We did get to see some bikers doing tricks and such. And that was cool. Also Mr Palau talked a bit on-stage. And that was cool. I do totally love how easy some pastors talk to younger generation about sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. It's like they've been there - but that's not it, it's more like they totally get these kids. (Older than Brent - younger than me!)

#faithisawesome.

p.s. The girl on the right is uncle Johnny's fiancĂ©  Joana.

Awesome Chicken Bits Recipe.

Pretty easy recipe - taste like the bomb.

Ingredients:

Chicken:

Garlic Hoisin Sauce
Your choice of green spices (Basil and tiny bit of cayenne was mine, I forget if there was anything else)
Tiny bit of salt.

Veggies:

Broccoli
Cauliflower
Carrots
Would have thrown in onions - but little baby (yes I'm looking at you Logan) started Crying like the world was over... oy.
Dice the chicken in edible little pieces, put it in a ziploc that will fit the aforementioned little pieces, throw in the spices and cover up thoroughly with Hoisin goodness.
Close ziplock and throw in fridge to marinate overnight (if possible)
Next day throw in lightly oiled pan and cook. Take the chicken out after it's done.

Throw the diced veggies into the Same juicy pot.
Add a little more hoisin in the veggies. And bit more salt.
Cook until al dente.
Daddy loved this, so did Brent, Logan had no complaints later :)
Oh and for crying out loud - if someone EVER finds a good recipe for fried rice - please POST.
The one I found seemed simple.. Now I realize why. I wasted  GOOD rice!! I so not like when food is wasted in such inappropriate manner. Don't eat it? fine. Too full? fine, doesn't taste like heaven? fine - but when I actually cook something I'm not proud of I simply get annoyed.

Youtube channel.

Well wouldn't you know it - but my kiddos are famous. Somewhat.
My Youtube has three followers!

In my opinion it's always a good thing to have a bunch of videos of your little ones somewhere - nothing else entertains them more than watching themselves do silly stuff.

And who knows - maybe someday I'll catch them doing something Super silly versus Super awesome heheh

Preparations for Father's day.

While waiting at WalMart in the check out line I perused the Father's Day greeting cards. One of them said:

"How did Father's day came to be?
About a month after Mother's day someone said "Hey... wait a second!"

Or something like that. I admit - I loved it. Didn't buy it. But loved it.

See kids - right now mam and dad are on a budget, what with business taking off bit slow (pray people!!) and mam is a stay at home mom to raise you four wonderful pets. Oh yes. It's peaches and cream, and we don't regret any of that. Except for the time we burned the bacon...

Anyways - we have limited time to make something awesome for grandpa and daddy. Decided to make our OWN greeting card for grandpa, and of course daddy will get one too. Other than that Grandpa is getting a seed bird feeder and a humming bird feeder. One is handmade, the other is made by the wonderful Chinese nation. Can't beat $2.70 :)

Mam already bought daddy a little gift... got caught however and interaction went something like this:

Me /puts the cologne in the cart
daddy: what's that for?
me: your father's day present (#iamtoosneaky)
daddy: uh, what are you going to pay with
me: /looking at the shampoos in the isle. Money, silly
daddy: where did you get it? steal it from me? (this is where he was joking so he had this awesome grin on)
me: yep (shoulda seen his face. LOVED it) well deary it's not like I get an allowance. And I didn't exactly "STEAL" it, I merely kept the change. For the last few months.
daddy: oh.. Oo
me: you're welcome

Note to myself: start making money. Lemonade stand comes to mind :) I can pimp the kids' cuteness heheheh

oh... fine.

I am rambling. Today was awesome fun tho. Took you kids to the pool. Will post the pics and video little later. Both Brent and Logan had a blast. It was funny too - cause Brent fought me the entire time I was trying to get him in. Then he was fighting us the whole time we were trying to get him out.

Potty training almost had a set back but we figured it out fast like and saved the day. God bless whoever thought of putting the bathrooms right there by the pool.

I also threw together some pieces of chicken in marinade for tomorrow's dinner. Will let you know how it panned out and post the recipe if it's recipe worthy.

Potty training wisdom.

Objective:

Go on the toilet for number one.

Number one:

This one was relatively easy.

Offer potty to the potty resistant Brent 5x a day.
No good - he still won't go.
Go to the store - buy jelly beans.
Give Brent couple of Jelly beans so he knows what they taste like.
Put jelly beans into the "pee jar". Every time he goes he gets 1.

VoilĂ   - 3 days into it - he'd go on the potty, go grab jelly beans out of the jar himself. Yes he sometime cheated and got two. But on the whole he's Very honest.

Accidents: there were at least 15 of those since we started potty training. Look for his cues. I learned to recognize his body language instantly. If hand goes down to the groin, that means he needs to go five minutes ago.

Punishment: While I dig the whole: Don't spank for stupid stuff, we do spank for different (harsh) offenses. Spanking for having a real accident is evil. Spanking when you know he KNEW to go on the potty versus his bedroom is not evil. But generally I didn't spank for this. Being disappointed and making him take a bath (one day he took 5 in a row) is punishment enough. (he loves baths but enough is enough - you know?)

Note: This was not good enough of reward to go for number two. And if he liked some healthy small tiny snack as much as jelly beans - I would have gave it to him. But I faded jelly beans out of his life as a reward within a week of complete success. Latest dental check confirmed that he has BEAUTIFUL healthy teeth.
If your  child sleeps with you PUT A PLASTIC SHEET UNDER YOUR BEDDING!!!!!!!!!!! (I can't stress this enough) And Possibly plastic pillow cases on your pillows!.. I simply had to wash mine and luckily they're cheapies from Wal Mart but still.. eww.

Objective:

Go on the toilet for number two.

Number two:

This one is down right difficult.

Here are some Tricks that we used.

A) offer a COOL (most desired) toy as a prize for success. (Yes we had to BUY his cooperation, but not until he actually cooperated) In our case it was a helicopter, remote controlled.

B) Speak ABOUT the child, instead of TO the child.
"Hey Logan, I think Brent Brent is TOTALLY going to use the potty, cause he WANTS to play with that helicopter and because he's such a good brother and shows good example.

C) Know a little of his body language. He'll tell you in volumes with his body that which he Should be telling you with his mouth. But whatever - he's 3. Put him on the potty and Make him stay there.

D) Give him a favorite toy to hold (in our case helicopter) and put a diaper in front of him. I don't know why - but it works. Oo

E) know the hour/day that he needs to go and STAY HOME if you can. We made a mistake of taking him out and at this point it's really not his fault for having an accident.

Punishment: We'll take away the helicopter. Skateboard. Scooter. Car... whatever makes this kid tick. And that being not enough I make him wash his own butt.
Again we don't spank for potty offenses. It's not like he ran out in front of the car or something.  Plus it makes him feel bad about the whole thing. But we don't ignore it. In few words we explain that we're disappointed etc. and toys will be taken away.

Accidents: I make him clean his own underwear. (No I'm NOT kidding, while supervised you can limit where the germs are going and wash him again after he does it himself. He actually does a pretty decent job. For a 3 year old)

Note: this is something not everyone tells you. When they (other people) say "Sally is POTTY  TRAINED!!" that means that 99.9 % that kid will go on his/her own into the potty. There still will be that .1% that he/she will piss/poo in the pants, bed wet or be so excited/tired they'll miss the potty.
So don't be too hard on yourselves. Just be prepared. Maybe don't co-sleep, although we do at times. /shudder

This is a long post sons, but hopefully someday in future when you're potty-training your firstborns it'll come in handy to look at your own experiences as children.
Brent is definitely a not-very-cooperative child when it comes to this. Very (VERY) smart kid, but something about potty that irks him. Maybe it's the diaper - baby thing. I try to baby him as much as possible but we Have been spending a little (lot?) less time together because Logan is still new. However it's not end of the world. I've come up with some projects Brent will like and do some stuff together with him and do a little bonding. Cause he's my awesome boy :)

Wednesday blast.

This is possibly my most favorite sign:

These pictures probably speak volumes however not nearly like the video:

I dig bounce places. Yes I know I’m almost 30. It actually helped burn like two calories and it was a complete blast.

Kids LOVED it, parents dug it, price was right.

We are definitely taking him back here again.

Of course the dogs still got their usual constitutional by the creek. But they drove daddy bonkers and everyone stressed out a bit. And Brent had a little accident… (I am silently shaking fist at you boy!), but it was our fault. He got too excited and we were out all day. Guess no helicopter/skateboard/scooter tomorrow until you go potty properly like.

In regards to Brent’s potty training… well that's another post.

Beef burritos with radish salsa

And here's the recipe for the burritos:

Cheapest stew meat available
Sage
Cumin
Oregano
Chili
Coriander
Salt
Pepper
Cube of beef base
Sake
Oil - 2 tbs
White beans, cooked
Rice of your choice

Method:

Mince the meat into smallest pieces you can without grinding the stuff. Layer it in a thin layer in some big bowl, then layer the spices - all of which "should" be ground up - but whatever. Mine are pretty old or stale or something they don't impart too much flavor - however i layered a good dose of sage and salt. With rest of spices I was not so liberal.
Then heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, toss the  meat into it on high, fry the darn stuff til it's nice and cooked, splash it with sake and throw in beef base, cover and stew it on low heat for an hour or two.
When done, heat up your tortilla, put the meat on it with rice and beans, sour cream and radish salsa (cilantro, radish, liberally salt and lime, whirr the stuff in your food processor, voilĂ ) and boom - you got awesome burritos.

More of the mondays

Yes kids,

mam and dad bought Brent his lovely helicopter exactly a week ago.
It was promised in case you (Brent) decide to use the potty for number two. And voilĂ ! you made good on your promise - we made good on ours.

Must say it  was hard to take it away from you that day you had an accident - but you did real good and earned it right back :)

Logan totally digs the thing - but Loggy is WAY too strong to be handling fragile things like helicopters so we'll wait til he's 2 or as close as possible to that age - before we let him handle it.
If in fact Brent or daddy or mam hasn't broke the darned thing by then.

The weather was scorching and the dogs needed a drink - this water channel was an excellent cooling place.

Let's play a game:

Can you spot the jackrabbit ears?

To make things more interesting we crossed the river behind Daddy and Brentik - yes. On foot. With Logan strapped to my back. And sure - the current was incredibly swift - but daddy was strong enough to pull two pit bulls right across it, lest they be washed away. And then carried Brent and supported me all the way across it as well.
Somehow Duke and Dez thought it was a blast... so did Brent.

Logan tried to tell us afterwords in his baby-speak on how he had this weird dream about crossing the river and dogs were almost swept away  in it and then Ma carried him across... but it was lost on non-believers (in baby-speak) therefore he soon after went back to sleep.

Brent DID try to walk through it and could have - however the water's temperature would have held back the most steadfast toddler on the planet. No matter how gung-ho he might have been.

There wasn't much on the other side - however dogs DID scare a deer, who promptly ran off across the same side of the river and ran away.

Hehe - Brent climbed  that all on his own. Much to my delight - cause for a moment I could handle the dogs without him running about or about to get in the water again.

5 month old un-birthday!

My little man turned 5 (months) today!
we celebrated with burritos
and they came out really good!

They were so good I have no good picture of them :) Brent disliked them a bit tho. I'm guessing not his type of thing. He's not into tex-mex.
Grandpa came over for a visit, Brent did his best to do number two in the potty (good job my sweet)
I only had to spank his butt two-three times today?

Church was awesome - a guy is getting his pastor stripes today - and he got to speak during service. Inspiring bloke. The energy is wonderful, the message lovely and of all things - Loggy - googly bear - went to sleep during service like old days. Heheh

Recipe for the aforementioned burritos will be added at the later time when you guys stop bouncing around like a buncha monkeys <3

Pediatrician.

I finally  FINALLY found the right one for you boys.

She's awesome. Her office is in Timbuktu, but it's worth the drive. A good caring person, professional, to the point, without any rude moments. By the way - someone remind me to call your old one and cancel that appointment that's coming up.

Brent had a little rash on his face (eczema - allergy) and she actually gave us an opportunity to see her right away. That's after I took the time to call and switch your primary care with Medical. You simply can't find help like this. You know?

Hopefully she'll stay for good long time and stays a good doc. This was our first appointment and I'm going to set up Logan pretty soon for his baby-well appointment (shots and rest). So we'll see how things go then.
